What gets passed on

Brand film built around the people on the other side of every listing. Shot documentary-style across the Netherlands.

Marktplaats is the second-hand layer of the Dutch economy — but the brand had never told the story of who actually uses it. We profiled three sellers in three cities, each with an object that had history behind it. No re-creations: we shot in their homes, with the items they were actually letting go of.

02 Approach

Pre-interviews on the phone, then a single shoot day per subject. Two lights, one camera, lavalier audio — minimal kit to keep the room intimate. Editorial choice: every cut sits on a beat in the subject's own voice, never on a transition.

03 Outcome

Film anchored Marktplaats's autumn brand push and led the homepage takeover for three weeks. The vignettes ran independently across Instagram and YouTube — the structure of three standalone profiles meant the campaign could breathe past launch week.
